What did you actually do so i know for future reference?

Edit: it seemed to work, but, the texture is completely washed out, as you can simply only see one color (perhaps due to the lack of complexity in the Normal map?) I'm thinking of ditching the normal map entirely, as the method you just used to try to fix the normal map, actually fixed the shadow problem without the normal map (strange)

I edited the gloss from 0 to 10, from 99.865 (or w/e it was) to 60 I think on another nimaterialprop, edited the texture paths, there was a nimaterial with white specular I jacked to black. Updated tangent space and archive invalidated. The reason it's monotone is the regular texture is pretty much black, there is no real definition so the bump mapping couldn't detect much of anything. Maybe if you add a rust effect to the pipes? And the most important thing archiveinvalidate.

I have Archive invalidated, and i've added a few things to the texture. one sec, i'll get a screenshot for you

So the new settings I added keeping the texture cooperating? Is that with the normal or did you remove it like you intended?

Removed it. considering it was so flat, i felt no need to keep it (not your fault, i didn't give you much to work with)

Edit: I tried making my own normal map again. This is how it turned out for the body and the duct tape.
