"Bugfixes - userlist rule editor not opening"

I had just added a few mods to Skyrim SE (nothing wrong with them, so far as I can tell) and then I started to get this message from Vortex. Now, I can start the game, but every time I try to load a save, the game crashes. I tried cleaning my saves, but that made no difference. I tried reinstalling Vortex, and I tried deleting the userlist and the masterlist, but that didn't work either.

 

I am out of ideas. Does anyone know what this means or how to fix it?

Vortex will not cause your saved games to crash on load. That is most likely save corrupted. If you have moved any mods during your playthrough, that's the most likely reason.
