Geck/house making tutorials.

I am trying to make a house for probably the 5th time(the best i've done is gotten one side of a wall done). I'll be honest I find the geck infuriating. Nothing about it really makes sense. I can't figure out to move objects or spin them around to go where I need them. When I do put objects in there at different levels on the Y axis forcing me to manually adjust. My view is also stuck in a top down view is there a way to change this. So if anyone could give me some tips or direct me to a useful tutorial. Everything I've found seems to forget to mention basic stuff.

Awesome! It gets addictive once you figure it out lol.

Well I just tested it out and it still needs work. Somehow all my cabinets are armor cabinets. the sinks and toilet have no water. My beds need well rested scripts, some of objects have items spawned in them so i have to check on that, the doors work but not the way they should. In other words it needs work. And my Navmeshing is a mess Veronica is bouncing off stuff left and right. I'll figure it out though.

Sink and Toilets for use are in the activator section. Yeah gotta read those item ID's they usually say military, hospital, stimpak, etc. Whatcha mean about the doors?

As long as the objects don't respawn thats fine. As for the doors the main problem is when you teleport into the space my character is behind the door so i think i set up my door box wrong.

edit the sinks and stuff should work now along with the oven.

My beds need well rested scripts

Look for beds (in the 'Furniture' subcategory) that have the PlayerBedSCRIPT attached to them (easily seen in the 'Script' column), or create a copy of the bed you want to use and associate it with this script.

some of objects have items spawned in them so i have to check on that

Notice the 'Respawns' and 'Inventory' columns in the 'Container' subcategory. Choose a container that has them set to 'No' and 'None' (respectively), or, as with the bed, create a copy of the container you want, then open it, uncheck 'Respawns' and clear the inventory list.

NAV meshes will always break, unless you convert your file from an ESP to an ESM (master). This can be done with FNVEdit. If you've never done it before, there's a good video tutorial here.

Yep. Make sure you position the yellow teleport marker where you want the player to spawn when using the door.
