Gun's magazine stuck in wrong place

Does this always happen with this particular rifle, or only after reloading it (as in switching a magazine)? Either way, this can be fixed using NifSkope.

If the former (always happens), find the NiTriStrips branch of the magazine, right-click it, then Transform > Edit. Now adjust the X translation to position the magazine where you want it to be.

If the former, then it would be a little more complicated to fix. What it means is that the parent NiNode is not properly synced with the reload animation, in which case you will need to adjust both the NiTriStrips branch and its parent NiNode. This would require some trial and error.

yeah. looks like when you edited the original magazine you edited the animation node. when you fool around in nifscope i suggest only editing the mesh's position itself. by that i mean clicking on the mesh itself not any of the nodes from the node list since you could get that mixed up.

If that doesnt work and the animation gets messed up during reloads, maybe try copy branch the whole node from another model (whichever youre using for which animation i assume would be the reload hunting rifle, varmint rifle or assaut carbine(if that even works with the 2hand ballistic. reloadF))?? and trying again making sure the nodes have the correct txt Name strings.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that the magazine is in the correct place when I view it from anything but the game itself.

EDIT: When I drop the weapon ingame, the magazine is in correct place. But when any character (including player) has equipped it, the magazine is in the wrong place. The Reload animation is also ReloadM, the same one used by Varmint and Hunting Rifle.

Okay, I solved it with some Blender shenanigans.

Just removed the old magazine and replaced it with Varmint Rifle's identical magazine.

While I'm at it, however, is there any easy tutorial on how to make a collision mesh for a weapon? I haven't found any.
