Blocking Users From My Content (feature request)

I am able to block a NexusMods user from all of my content if that user has posted in one of my mod's forums -- by using that mod's Manage feature.

However, there is apparently no way to block a user if there is no post by that user in any of my mod forums.

My request then is to please provide a way to do that.

[ or to please help me understand how to do it if that feature already exists and I have simply overlooked it ]

Currently blocked users are shown in the Content Blocking tab of "My Nexus Account". Perhaps enhance that UI to enable names to be added.

My reason for requesting such a feature is that there have recently been multiple NexusMods users who have deliberately uploaded my mods (or variations of my mods) without permission to various web sites ... but they never posted in my mod forums. I very much want to block those users from all of my content to help minimize abuse of my creative works.

I'm not a member of staff so do not take my word for this but it is very unlikely that your request will be granted. This issue (the ability to block users who have not yet commented on your mod pages) has been discussed multiple times in the GMAD forum over the years and it has been made clear by staff and Robin Scott that the feature will not be implemented.

But who really knows? Nexus Mods has changed their policy without telling us before, after all.

my opinion: a user acting like this (upload abuse with evidence) should not be blocked by the decision of another member (regardless if mod author or not). if there is evidence it should be a case for the staff.

i had this trouble with foreign sites (probably a nasty site user) copying my content without permission. i made this abuse public on my page with the obvious evidence (screenshot and links) and it helped a lot. a few days later the site admin contacted me and he deleted (multiple times) these uploads on his site. i'm sure my mods are still around there just better hidden without using strings i can search for.

This is being brought up every so often in the mod author forums and I'm afraid there simply isn't enough of a consensus on the issue among mod authors for us to even consider making such a policy change. I believe that answers your question so I'm closing this thread.
