Germandeathkittiez
I was looking at Ramy's Monster Mod (type Ramy in file name to find) and I was wondering if someone could make a mod like this except entirely based on Shadow of the Colossus, maybe with creatures from it or LOD (though preferably just the creatures) or basically creatures with a sort of Shadow of the Colossus look instead of just vanilla oblivion ones. Also a quest line maybe like the original or maybe a save game with the main character (whatever his name was). Anyway, just a suggestion, and for anyone who knows Shadow of the Colossus, this would be a cool mod to do.
Palpenious
Colossus was one of my personal most anticipated games ever, this would be an interesting mod for sure. That said, since there is no way to grab ledges or even climb besides edge jumping, it seems doomed from the start. I know, it pains me to say, but, look forward to a (spiritual at least) successor. Hopefully before too long the PS3 will see a Colossus 2. BTW they never technically mention his name, but the hero was always referred to as "Wanderer" or "Wanda" in the Japanese version. Germandeathkittiez
Naw he had a name... I'm pretty sure I remember hearing it near the end of the game. Well you can't grab ledges... as far as we know... but you could walk on the monsters, maybe they could be partially made from ledges and walls from buildings in the game. Also, the extensive amount of jump distance in Oblivion could substitute for the ability to grab on ledges and climb things. To get up to high high heights, I'm sure someone could make some sort of a ladder at least for standstlill things, like towers, doesn't seem like too much work (thought I'm not a modder). Of course, animations for being whipped around in the air while clinging to things would definitely be very hard to do...But what I was thinking about was mainly just a very basic mod reflecting some of the monsters from Shadow of the Colossus, and primarily focusing on their design... because I looked at the Ramy mod which I will try soon and the look and size of the augmenting NPC creatures reminded me of that game. Palpenious
Even if you couldn't interact with them, it would be cool to see giants just wandering around in the background. Maybe outside the edges of the map or something.
Eshenaleros
that would scare the hell out of me. anyways, setting up a seperate worldspace may be in order, as these big guys aren't exactly lore friendly and I can't think of anywhere appropriate for them. still, I love the thought as I have played and beaten SotC and absolutely loved it, and I would love to pit my tiefling against something like this. now that I think about it, the stuff from Ramy's monstr mod would do great for monster hunter as well... hmm... Gethesmain
You know, i just had a great thought that could make this work, No really, and we could keep it lore too. It's simple, you need to align these things. 1. Very large Human (as base)2. Armour (Maybe a metal and moss, or stone and moss if going for true SoTC)3. New moveset for the character (Like one that slams weapons into the ground, or stomps)4. Drastically slow down said move-set Bingo, you have a colossus, now here's how you could make it work.A) story line wise, it could be an ancient dwemer technology (thus my idea for it being metallic i origin, perhaps a great Iron god of some sort, or a last ditch war machine for some great battle, but the tool was buried and never used) Your character would find out about its creation (as it would activate for some reason and start wandering around the map, smashing things) Your character would wind up having to lure it to a special cliff edge somewhere, like perhaps near one of the beaches create a HUGE cliff-face that you would lead him to, all the while Legionaries and citizens and such have prepared cannons or something heavy duty to finally blast him off the edge wherein he would fall for an unimaginable distance that would (surely) Kill it. In that simple way you could create a very believable way of doing it. And by making it dwemer (we all know how they loved their silly gadgets) it might even be plausible. It would be in the vein of SoTC, without all the "jumping up on it" style.
