Vortex cant launch

Vortex:1.4.14

Not game but whole vortex (Game fallout 4)

Mods:35-+

System: Windows 10, 64-bit and 12 GM Ram

 

My problem is that when I try to open Vortex, it throws me an error that it is already running, but it does not appear in the application manager, even after reinstallation and turning off the antivirus (Avast)

Have you tried restarting your PC?

 

If that doesn't work it's very possible that something else on your PC has been messing with the Vortex appdata folder.

Like nexus mod manager?

And there is fix for that?

Sounds like your Vortex database is completely corrupted. This doesn't happen under "normal" operation but can be cause by failing hardware, overprotective security apps and more. Try renaming the %appdata%\Vortex folder to %appdata%\Vortex_old and see if it starts up properly (all your mods/customisations will be missing, but changing the folder name back will undo it).
