Crash on Start. Help Please.

Just recently bought FO3 for the computer finally, looking to mod it with mostly standard stuff but for the life of me I can't seem to get it to launch without crashing. I'm not sure what it is, but I've tried fixing everything I can find with no luck. Skyrim was much easier than this. This is my laad order, any help or advice would be appreciated a ton, thanks!

Ok a crash on start generally means your missing a master which is your missing a mod one of your other mods depends on. Right off the bat i see the what may be the problem the FO3 Wanderers Edition - Alternate Travel.esp and Fellout - Full.esp belong up with all the esm files as they are esps marked as an esms aka a master files

 

Go grab FO3 edit from here http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/637//? and the guide and run it. it will tell you what you are missing. look into how to make a merged patch with FO3edit its a must for fallout 3.

 

You dont need Mart's Mutant Mod - Zones Respawn.esp, Mart's Mutant Mod - Tougher Traders.esp, Mart's Mutant Mod - Natural Selection.esp as they are included in Mart's Mutant Mod - FWE Master Release.esp. and since you have fellout-full.esp you dont need all the dlc plugins for it.

That helped a ton! I got past the start up but now a new enemy comes...the first menu isn't loading. The screen can't be skipped but the slides go on until the power helmet appears.

I suppose I can disengage one mod at a time until I figure out which is screwing with the interface and menu?

No main menu is usually an orphaned record. A record in a plugin whose formid does not exist in its master anymore or has been repurposed and is of a different formtype now. You are probably looking for an outdated compatibility patch.

 

If I had to guess, probably one of the EVE patches for FWE.
