Serious Animation Issue

No, there have been no dragon attacks, however I do have deadly dragons there have been no active dragons. I don't use shouts on my character as it so happens.

This bug keeps getting odder... So I made a new character (i use alternate start) as soon as I walk out of my home in whiterun multiple npc's cower and act strangely. This is before I even activated a good amount of the mods i'm using. I have FNIS tried to correct the animations with no avail.

Here the kicker. I load up my wifes character, who has the same mods and is a chracter that was made some time ago. The NPC's bugs I've outlined in this post are not present on her save...at all.

Even though shes using the same mods, but a different character.

Yet when i made a new character and tried to mimic the exact creation of hers. I get the issue. I'm at my wits end on this.

Hard to say, it is an older character, however it makes me wonder why it would cause the issue with a brand new character as well?

I wonder if through the mod activation there is a script that gets changed through the 180 mods I have and causes the issue. I just don't understand why it's not doing it with her character, but with mine and any new character i make.

Even with all mods off. so something got changed for sure. ugh...

Looking around at all t hese mods will be tough, since very rarely does the mod seem to be given the same name as the plugin file, but I'll check into them.

For the time being, try adding in mods one at a time with a new character, starting with Alternate Start and Deadly Dragons. You should be able to discover which mod starts the conflict that way, and can figure out which one conflicts with it by starting over, starting with only that one mod (and perhaps Alternate Start, to get around to it quicker).

Sounds to me like a mod is causing it. Have you tried turning all your mods off, then turning them back on one by one, and each time you turn a mod on go back in game to see if the bug returns? A gruelling process I know. Helps if you start with mods that you think might be involved.

Shot in the dark here, but it sounds less like an animation mod problem, and more like a mod that tells NPCs what to do, changes their packages, all that jazz. I say this because of the fact that the enemies cower; something must be telling them to enter a fear state. I would normally say that Run For Your Lives or When Vampires Attack would do something like that, but I don't see it on your list. There's actually a lot on your list I don't recognize.

You can rule out all the things that just change the appearance of the game, like lighting mods and stuff like that, as well as anything that just adds armor or weapons.

Other than the 1 by 1 method, I would suggest, if you haven't done this already, to go to some other locations in game to make sure this is happening all over and not just in that one cell.

Also, try reinstalling FNIS and running the patcher.

I appreciate all your help guys, I'm surprised that not more people are having this problem. I agree that it must be something that changes the way NPC's act. Deadly dragons, could be the culprit on this because it does have an option that cuases NPC's to flee. It may be interacting or changing a script in some way with another mod.

I'm going to try to deactivate all mods, make a new character and see what happens when I check on alternate start+deadly dragons. I'll work my way through them in that order. Im greadually coming to accept the bug though however I don't want to give up on fixing it just in case it happens to anyone else.

Also, it happens in every city. Again not all NPC's just about 1/4 of them seem to do it.
