LE Who remembers Malevolent, from Oblivion?

So who remembers the mod from Oblivion called malevolent. It was a very unique and inspired story, and personally one of my favorite mods, that I tended to replay over and over just because I enjoyed both the armor that resulted, as well as the different paths that was involved.

 

Also the thought of sentient armor is absolutely awesome to me because it implies that it's not just you doing all the work, but you and another soul working together to meet a goal. Or two souls struggling to control a body.

 

Is the concept of the armor itself was unique and something I haven't seen done in Skyrim.

 

I fully realize that something like this would take months and months of work, but if there is something like this in the works, I would love to hear about it so I can keep track of it. I wished I could say that I'm a moder, I'm sure you hear this quite often, but at the same time, this has inspired me for a role play, I would love to see someone bring it to life.

 

I'm sure it's impossible to actually port the original mod over considering it used meshes and what not, but simply seeing a reference to it would be amazing too.

 

and before someone says just get a sentient weapon mod, that's boring, I want story. I want to develop a connection with this gear that will be talking to me and interacting with me. I want to know that it has some sort of emotion to it aside from just being something that makes quippy remarks every now and again. Almost like a follower but not quite.

To port it, First you'd have to get a hold of the Mod Author to ask permission, that's Simyaz, and good luck with that, I haven't heard from him on over a decade, and I'm still sitting on all of the voice files I recorded for Ruined-Tail, his companion mod

Again, it's not like I'm asking for a direct port, but something inspired by it would be great. This was one of my all-time favorite mods to play with back before Skyrim was even around.

 

And I have never seen anything like it since.

 

I also remember ruined-tail, that was quite a fun companion to have, Right next to the blonde nord lady. Vilja? I can't remember her name. But because they were voice acted, and they had quests tied to them that were very interesting stories, they were more often than not in my usual companions on my trips. Sadly, I never did finish Ruined- Tail's quest... I just recently reinstalled Oblivion for nostalgia, and now that you've reminded me of it, I should totally finish it.

I understand that, I was just addressing the part of your post that mentioned a port.

 

It's unfortunate that Simyaz quit modding, his mods were pretty epic
