redfandango
Hi everybody. I'm new at this and i don't speak english, but I'm doing my best. (with some help) I'm creating an interior settlement, but I need some help with some stuff, cos I don't know how to program the fast travel inside/outside an interior cell. Thank you very much for the help and, if you are curious, I'm trying to restore the Custom Tower. (I'll put some pics for you). it's faaaar from looking like the real one, but ... it's better than a lobby with two covered doors.
aurreth
To allow fast travel into an interior settlement the map marker must be in an exterior cell, then linked to an XMarkerHeading in the interior cell. That can either be a specific fast travel marker, or the center marker. I recommend a dedicated marker. To allow fast travel from inside to outside right click the cell name in the Cell window, choose Edit, then make sure that "Can't travel from here" is NOT checked. This works for fast travel, but may create issues with settler assignment and supply lines. Settlers are not looking for the MapMarker, they are looking for the XMarker, so they may not see the MapMarker as a valid location. What works better is having a load door from the outside world into the interior, then placing the XMarker in the outside world. As long as the exterior cell and the interior cell share the same Location and Encounter Zone settlers have no problem walking through the load door to get inside. I've even seen them walk through a load door to exit a building, walk around to the back door, and load through that back inside to get to workbenches (because they can't use elevators). Only smart thing I've ever seen a settler do. I read somewhere that you can put the fast travel point in the interior, then place an invisible load door in the outside world that links to one in the interior so that settlers can path to the inside Xmarker. I haven't tried this yet. Edited August 11, 2021 by aurreth

I haven't tried this yet. This works as long as the yellow xmarker is placed on valid navmesh, and the navmesh is finalized, which flags the triangle as having a door. The NPCs have to be able to navigate to the xmarker. The door itself can be out of reach.
