i always thought the one in the game is kind of goofy, un-fallout like. one like the suit in the picture is cool one. who wouldnt want to kill enemies while looking like the first person on the moon

I'v got a pretty good & easy solution for you. The zeta space suit is included in the BSA, but not accisible from teh NV geck. I can extract it (not that my FO3 & geck is working again) and get you a suit that's a pretty dang close match for the mecury space suits of the early 60s(?)

It could even be re-textured the model tweaked to fit the pic above pretty closely. But the mecury suit is cool in it's own right.

 

Anyway I'll grab it tonight or tomorrow, add water breathing and rad resistance to it as well.

You didn't follow what I wrote;

It's in fallout new vegas's BSA, just like many other assets that NV uses and were made for FO3 (and many of FO3's DLC's). There is no copy right issue.

 

BTW would you be familiar with 50's source material for Russia? I ask in reference to the idea I had in this thread.

 

As far as the backpack, that's probably more something you would use in space since it's for life support. Wouldn't be a lot of reason to use it in the wastelands (heavy and there's already breathable air), but there are plenty of backpacks on nexus taht could be adapted.

There's an interesting one in the mod Beyond Boulder Dome http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/46907/? you might look into it. The one shown in the photo's looks different to me than the one I saw in the Alchestbreach video of him playing it.

thanks, im going to modifiy the zeta space suit and add the backpack. modify the texture (add the U.S. flag, make it white, keep the gloves grey. etc) although i wont upload it, it will be for personal use.

Awww, they have most of the zeta stuff (like virtually all the statics) but it looks like the space suit isn't in there.....shame :(
