IAmStormShadow
I built up Sanctuary with modded building blocks to make it level. It looks nice & I did it before going to Concord. All the npc's from Concord made it to Sanctuary but now 3 of them plus Codsworth are stuck under the building blocks. I used the console commands to bring them to me, but it doesn't take long before they go right back under the blocks. Does anyone know if there is a fix to this or a mod for it? aurreth
Nope, no fix. The AI has difficulty with blocks/foundations, so they don't work as advertised. Use floors instead wherever possible, they work better. What's happening is the settlers are loading in at ground level because your floor is too high off the ground and the AI thinks it's a "ceiling" instead of a floor. I usually make a level surface of flooring, make sure there are navigable stairs up to that level, then go back and put foundations under the floors. Or use something like Snappy which gives you foundation skirting to go around the outside of the ground floor. I started doing that after building a nice, level parkland around Vault 111 and having to constantly fish NPCs out of the ground. IAmStormShadow
ok, thanks for the information, I guess I will have to tear it all down & start over, or just start a new game.

Sorry, I know how that feels. I've started working on techniques (meaning finding the right sized pieces) to build terraces instead of flat planes. Sort of a Gardens of Babylon thing.
