So I have completely goofed up the save function

It started when I deleted the "Crime and Punishment" and "Gun for Hire" mods since the author deleted them; C&P was causing issues on it's own and there was nothing to read for troubleshooting. Then the game started to CTD when I save, so I must have improperly uninstalled those mods. I have completely purged all mods from my load order, yet the issue persists. Here is the load order now:

DLCNukaWorld

 

Then a lot of Creation Club stuff. I can safely say I own everything except the Camo Skin Bundle and the Faction Fashion Weapon Skin Bundle (except for the Enclave).

 

That is the entire load order. No mods, just the base game, all 6 DLCs, and 99% of the Creation Club.

 

PS. I deleted C&P and GFH because I kept losing kamra in C&P for "assaulting someone". There was a single raider prisoner at Starlight Drive-in, and I had him farming corn. I took his collar off and he lived in a cell. I fail to see how that is assault.

Update: Reverting to earlier saves has no effect. However, a new character can save just fine. I read somewhere else that if a save file is too big, it will CTD. This character has a save file of 38.4 MB.

Removing large files mid-game, especially quest mods or ones that add or majorly change systems, is usually a bad idea as you are finding out. You could try cleaning your saves using Fallrim Tools (Resaver), that might fix the problem.
