Let me make a list. 1: They're all too young to be playing games with incredibly realistic violence and adult themes (GTA4 and GoW anyone?) 2: They're incredibly disrespectful to everyone in the room, thinking they're king crap on top of turd mountain, even when they end up getting defeated in a game, they often have to trash talk everyone else for it. 3: They're voice on the head set. No I don't hate against them for being pre-pubescent and not having a more mature sound. Its the fact that they have to SCREAM EVERY SINGLE WORD. 4: "Im not going to buy it if it does not have multiplayer" This sentence and others like it simply make my blood curdle. My gaming generation grew up on single player games, we didnt have the LUXURY of xbox live. I find myself not even TOUCHING the multiplayer till I beat the single player campain. (Im 20 btw). 5: This goes along with disrespect, The new generation apparently thinks its cool to throw around derogatory and otherwise racist remarks between every other word. 6: Girls of the new generation: You are not special, between 40% and 45% of gamers of today are Female. Get over yourself, to me you are just another player in the room I am in. I do not have to treat you any better then anyone else. You are equal to me as I am Equal to you. Deal with it. 7: Guys of the new generation who find out your playing with a girl: Shut the hell up, please. So what if shes female? So what if she beat you? Grow up and just play the freaking game. 8: Console Fanboy's of the new generation: Console wars have been going on before your parents thought to conceive a new child. Its getting old, buy what you want and let others do the same. I think that about sums it up for me. I agree with those points. About the graphics: I'm an "old age" gamer and I do love games with great visuals, like Crysis or BioShock. Good visuals always increase the appeal of games, and there's nothing wrong with them. About the gameplay/story: Some people just prefer gameplay over story, and vice-versa. It doesn't really have anything to do with being older or younger. However, newer games are tremendously better in the story department than old games ('90s or so). Just compare Pac-Man to BioShock. I enjoy a good story in my video games, but if you think that story is equally important to gameplay in video games, you have a real misconception about what video games are for, and you are most likely inept at all video games/life. I used to play Medal of Honor and when I got internet at a decent speed I used to play on a server and the top player was Surfergurl who I might add used to pound the crap out everyone. She was the bomb. Many guys wouldnt team up with her because she was a girl, but I did and we kicked ass. :thumbsup: to the point where she was the all seeing sage for the server. The funny thing is, that in hindsight, 30 minutes later, I briefly considered the possibility of that being a joke, but I was too lazy to go back, turn on my laptop again, and edit the post. Showing a little uncommon courtesy and respect for everyone else beyond the ends of their nose would be a start. You don't have to agree with everything, or anything, someone else does, but you don't have to trash their thoughts, works, feelings, beliefs, etc. I think maybe some of them need to get it through their heads that their opinion is exactly that, an opinion. Just because they rule over the world they have conjured in their minds, doesn't make their opinion a fact, or any more valuable than the next persons opinion.
