Female or Male?

Ive been part of the skyrim modding community for a while now (using not making mods) and I have noticed a HUGE lack of male armour mods, as well as well, anything, to do with males, its really all females, I can understand that not as many people want to see men in bulky strong looking armour as do females in well... any type of armour, I'm personally a lore friendly nut, so I just don't understand a few things. (I will say them later) To tell the truth, the only really good lore friendly male armour mods ive seen are the Aesir and ehnijar (cant remember their proper names) and also those don't by hoth trooper. all the other ones ive seen are really just anime based, and even they are few and far between... And then theres the female armour base... I mean WOW theres so much, and half of its divided between UNP and CBBE. There is also the fact that nearly half of the female armours are skimpy. im not complaining, I don't mid it, i'd just like to see more lore friendly armours, especially for males. my last comment will be this, what do you guys prefer to play, male or female, and how do you play them, lore friendly armour, skimpy, or anime.

I think it comes down too, minus the obvious factor which we all love. Is that in Vanilla females rarely look good in any of the armors imo

You can put a dwarven set on a male and it looks natural and pretty good, you put that on a female and it's just ... bleh that's the case with most armors

"But most of the custom female armors, aren't natural they don't look they offer much protection at all" well.. as i said, obvious factor :P

I play as a female character. Being a female myself I find it easier to relate to a female character. I do have two male followers that I've used console commands to increase their size so my gal has two large bodyguards. Best of both worlds.

its all about eye candy.

Strait Male players like looking at attractive female Player characters.

the lack of male armour suggests that there are few gay male and many strait female modders.

it would be interesting to to find out if this is true.

is the elderscrolls series a mostly strait male pastime?

also of interest might be the age groupings of players and modders.

perhaps someone with more knowledge than i could set up a poll?

something annoamous maybe.

The main issue is that people divorce themselves from the game, much like how people do with films and books.

If a guy has unrealistically curvacious women wearing little more than chainmail bikinis, chances are he isn't immersed. He is just looking at the screen for a cheap hard on.

If a guy has the opposite; appropriately clad women with down to earth proportions, he's probably connecting to the fantasy. Roleplaying, if you would.

Sadly, the majority of people that play video games are "casual" gamers; the fictional lore, setting, ethics, etc., are of no importance; they want to see nipples on large breasts whilst they slice stuff with huge swords.

Am a 43 year old Female Gamer and play primarily a singular Male Dovahkin...same character repeatedly...I obviously REALLY like him.... ...He has a very highly detailed background, personality and morality....RP'ed in a highly intensive and realistic manner.

As a Ranger sort of character....Stealth Poisons Archer Born Werewolf....he wears this without the Hood and Mask....:

I have little to no interest in TES Lore....my interest is purely 'Realism' and feel this Armor suits his world and needs well.

I sometimes play around with Female characters also, though I don't become immersed in them or their worlds and so tend to explore less realistic Mods, life styles, etc...with them, so they can get quite skimpy, big busted, etc...purely for the hell of it. My most often played and most enjoyed is most certainly through my primary Male character though.

I wouldn't say they "divorce" themselfs from the game, IMO they are closer to the game then people who distance themselfs with "realism"

a game is an escape from reality, if i wanted "realism" i would go outside, but as frostys status? comment? w/e that is says, the graphics aren't that special.

So they chose to play the game wanting an escape from "reality". Now to further add on to my point, lets say you take out the magic/obvious things that can't be done in life and it's just a normal time period

Well way back then you wouldn't have women doing anything like this, and most likely women back then were treated with little respect and treated quite harshly. but in a game you can ignore stuff like that,

a game lets you do anything you want ( within the games limitation ofc ) and mods have the possibilty to let your wildest imaginations run free~. So IMO people who stick to the "fantasy" side of a game are much closer to games then people who distance themselfs by trying to add "realism" and make it fit into the laws of reality.

But then ofc you have your people who really don't care about any of that, just like big boobs and ass lol. but then again you can say that adds to the feeling of a game even more. bc well if it's "real" then women would have much smaller chest back then. Genetics proves women ( for the most part, depending on where you are~ ) got bigger as time goes on. So in otherwords they are unknowingly getting closer to the game without meaning too.

Note : I am a mixture of Realism and fantasy gamer.

What if a guy is spending loads of time creating a georgeous wife or follower that does not have huge frontals and behind, but tries to create a character that appeals to him as a person? Is that a sign that tells his real life sucks? That he didn't find his dream partner?

I don't see anything wrong in creating characters with huge frontals or whatever they look. Both sex and love is a part of our lives. But you probably mean games shouldn't contain these things, and most certainly not appeal to us?

I did play Skyrim without any mods for a long time. By the third game I started to use mods, to change things a bit and make it more interesting and colorful.

When I got Heartfire and Dwanguard I started to create a home. Just like you do in real life. It's a natural instinct.

I began looking for a wife and adopted some children after building Lakeview and all was fine. Until I became bored with hearing the same comments from 'my family' over and over again. So, I began modding my wife. At least she could wear some more colorful and interesting dresses. And so it began.

My 'wife' has several dresses and new haistyles, new face etc. And she also had silly huge frontals and a big but for a while, sexy lingerie etc.

Now it is not quite a boring as before. And it will get boring when you have played the game 20 times. But with modding every game is different somehow. It is not the game that changes. It is you. The way you see things change.

A big busted wife/follower might be a thing that gives some people a little extra kick. Who doesn't like to look at something you desire?

But anyway. The looks of your characters is not the most important. It can never replace the basic gameplay and contents. Changing things has the same effect as buying new flowers for the livingroom. But it's still the same livingroom, isn't it?

If it wasn't such a huge task to change the conversations and quests I'd say this was far more interesting. Maybe a 'beautiful woman' is a sign of someone getting bored?
