IAssassinII
So I'm currently working on a mod that involves a settlement along a road. The road goes at a complete 45 degree angle in relation to the map grid, and most of my buildings are going to be parallel to the road. The problem is, I can't snap the building kit pieces together properly because they are sitting rotated 45 degrees from the normal grid. After getting a couple done without grid snapping, I was wondering if there was some way to rotate the grid itself so that I could get through this quicker. Is this possible, or are there better methods?
DaemonGrin
if you set all the pieces you can select them all and rotate them as a single piece. Hope it helps,Geoff
IAssassinII
OH YEAH! I completely forgot that I could do that. Thank you!
TrickyVein
In the render window, right click and bring up your preferences. Then, under the 'movement' tab hit the button called 'select snap reference' next to 'snap reference' Finally, hit 'select snap reference in render window' and your cursor will become a red reticule which will turn white over any piece in the render window. Select whatever reference you want to adopt it's rotation and position as the new origin for the coordinate/snapping system.

IAssassinII
Thanks. I look forward to continue learning more and more about the GECK :D. It's funny, TrickyVein I was using your sandcrete textures at the time too, ha ha. Don't worry I'll give you credit.
