DarkStarMonkeyMonk
I downloaded NVSE and then FOMM and now i have an issue with hats either removing my p.c.'s hair or clipping through it. Is this a known issue with a known solution? Thanks in advance.
JimboUK
That's usually a sign that the hat is in the wrong body slot, I don't see how NVSE or FOMM could cause it.
DarkStarMonkeyMonk
well, i wasn't having this problem before. ... is it possible that my computer skipped some of the FOMM files for hat meshes? Would that even effect the game at all? Edited September 21, 2021 by DarkStarMonkeyMonk
JimboUK
Have you installed anything that would change headwear?
DarkStarMonkeyMonk
No.And i just now deleted all my save files f(they were only test files for my mod development) and took my mods out of the data folder, started a new game and i still have glitching hats. DarkStarMonkeyMonk
can someone compare their fomm mesh files for hats to mine? Edited September 21, 2021 by DarkStarMonkeyMonk
DarkStarMonkeyMonk
maybe i downloaded the wrong version?
madmongo
FOMM usually means Fallout Mod Manager, which is an older mod manager and does not contain any meshes. NVSE is New Vegas Script Extender, which also does not contain any meshes. Did you mean something else other than FOMM? FCO maybe? What exactly did you download? What hair are you using? Hair meshes need to have a HAT and a NOHAT mesh included in the nif file. Many hairs do not have a proper HAT mesh and do not work well with hats. This is a hair problem and not a hat problem. DarkStarMonkeyMonk
thank you for the clarification of the mesh problem.also, fallout mod manager (FOMM) makes all the files available for modding, so i am wondering that if FOMM doesn't properly give all the files, if that would cause this issue?
