The Outcasts are my favorite, the way that they rebelled against Lyons for moving away from the fundamental basis of the Brotherhood and going soft (not that preserving Wastelanders isn't noble, but the search for our race's advancement is mildly more important, and not in the way the Enclave is doing it.)

I really want to like the Outcasts, but they make it really difficult. I am wearing Enclave Power Armor, wielding a plasma rifle, and they still ask me if I want to bang rocks together? What the hell? Also, that stuff that goes on in OA? How unprofessional could they be!? Failure to maintain order... what rubbish! The brotherhood in Fallout 1 was awesome. They sent you on a suicide mission, but they gave you props for when (if) you came back. They also weren't jerks once you became one of them. Only that one guy who you had to get your armor from.

 

I also want to like the Enclave, but everything they do is against their actual goals, so they are lost to me. I love their sense of professionalism, and their ability to actually make stuff (like weapons and armor, at least they can on the west coast) and the fact they still have aircraft. Plus they have an underground fortress, which is pretty awesome.

 

In the end, I like the F3 BoS. Although Lyons is a b**** who deserves to die for the reasons mentioned in the first post, and stupid wastelanders like Reddin who somehow get in deserve to as well. But people like Knight Captain Colvin make them awesome. Remember him? He was the awesome guy in the GNR plaza. He might be there afterward, look for him. The rest of them seem like nice people, with level heads on their shoulders. Elder Lyons comes across as down-to-earth, which I like.
