witcher 3 failed to set game mode

Hi all new to game modding, now before i start i get this issue is common although i have searched for a solution but nothing seems to fix.

 

 

i had the witcher 3 working through vortex perfect when i first installed the game on a external hard drive, the issue started when i moved everything to new internal hard drive.

 

with out vortex the game runs installed at new location S:

the game also runs using old location D: (external hard drive)

 

when i use vortex and try to active the game it comes up with error (failed to set game mode)

game location and game mods show drive S: but only works when external hard drive (D:) is plugged in.

 

any advice is appreciated

Looks like you need to update the game or staging folder paths in Vortex.
