Certification has exprired

I'm getting the same error. I haven't touched my system security in the last week. Windows says there are no required updates and I have Vortex 1.4.16

This is probably a Windows issue. Windows seems to have decided it no longer recognizes wired connections as internet connectivity. Despite being on the internet, using it right now, to post on the web. Vortex probably calls the same API to look for internet connectivity, I'd imagine.

Edit: A reboot seemed to fix it. Both Windows and Vortex.

Same exact same is happening to me. I was trying to get any updates for skse and got a CERT_HAS_EXPIRED along with

Error: certificate has expired
at TLSSocket.onConnectSecure (_tls_wrap.js:1501:34)
at TLSSocket.emit (events.js:315:20)
at TLSSocket._finishInit (_tls_wrap.js:936:8)
at TLSWrap.ssl.onhandshakedone (_tls_wrap.js:710:12)
I clicked the links to fix it and copy pasted the presented certificate key into the requesting box. The response was the key was invalid with the warning that if I request a new key current apps will no longer recognize the old key. I chicken out. But now I's stuck and can't find the "generate a new key" page.

SOLVE-

What you need to do is when you go to get your personal API key you need to delete the one that the Nexus has generated for you. Once this is done request a new one and copy that and enter it into the Vortex text box. This solved my issue. Any other questions or issues let me know and I'll look into it.

A wide range of people are unable to download the same exact mods no matter the circumstance on "vortex." One example is: the Static mesh mod for Skyrim special edition. It has a failed TLSSocket for everyone, with the same "certificate has expired" pop-up (when attempting to download).

Error: certificate has expired
at TLSSocket.onConnectSecure (node:_tls_wrap:1530:34)
at TLSSocket.emit ( node:events:526:28 )
at TLSSocket._finishInit ( node:_tls_wrap:944:8 )
at ssl.onhandshakedone ( node:_tls_wrap:725:12 )

That's what I get as well when downloading "certain" mods, not all mods
