Like, say, regenerate crippled limbs? Fallout already has its own version of the superpower schtick- mutations. They run the gamut of wierd abilities from regeneration and super-strength to uber-intelligence and special pheromones that allow a person to make friends of the beasties. Or immortality, as the Ghouls possess (albeit a twisted form thereof). There's already plenty of beyond-the-normal going on in Fallout.

I'd also have to disagree about the colors- there are a few places left unharmed (or which have been painstakingly restored) in Fallout, and they serve very well to paint a contrast with "the way the world is now." Earth, post-2077, is a bleak and depressing place; its color palette ought to reinforce that notion (and it does).

Hmm, isn't it a bit too early to talk about fallout 4? :P

Anyways, I'd make some more towns, and I'd make it a bit easier to create your character (my is so freaky :( )

A whole slew of things that made FO3 feel more like a side-project than an actual game.

Oblivion felt developed and fun, and while I enjoyed playing Fallout, I couldn't shake the feeling

that I should be gunning down dark elves and orcs.

First off I think the animations should be a little better done, I almost had a taste of morrowind

with my character. Aside from that the world was vastly vacant and gave me an extremely lonesome feeling,

which one might expect from post-apocalyptia, but not when I have to run for hours to get to any given place.

Aside from that, more weapons might be nice, and some housing options, other than the two available in game.

I didn't feel that you could really connect with any of the NPC's either, no matter how far you delved into the world doing

some personal deed for an ungrateful person, they didn't give you any kind of emotion...

Aside from that I agree with PureSnipe in the fact that the physics in this game (environmental physics) sucked...

In Oblivion you could move signs and chains and items, whereas in Fallout you couldn't even push a swing...

So basically...I would change these above things...though this was more criticism than actual "what I would do"

However, despite my nagging of FO3 I still thoroughly enjoyed the game.

Edit: Also, if they end FO4 like they did FO3, with a brief quest leading to the death of the character the quest was based around, only to find that I can no longer play, I may just swallow razor wire pull it out my ass and floss myself to death. Thank you. :D
