AstrayWasp
I've just started a new game after installing a bunch of mods and everything was working fine, but when I try to exit Doc Mitchell's house the screen freezes on loading but the audio continues, my plugins are: Any help is appreciated, I have tried different combinations of these mods and none seem to work except with just base game plus QOL improvements, but I really want the visual upgrades. laclongquan
The visual upgrade is the reason you crash. Area right outside of doc house is the area to load many many dlc events. So its special prone to ctd. Solution, albeit temporary: set visual to low. Wait until all the messages are loaded and temp files are cached. Running around a bit. Sayb20 minutes. Then you can set visual quality to your liking
AstrayWasp
I've tried that and now it works but still when coming out of some buildings the game starts to stutter in place and I can't do anything
laclongquan
Like I said, your rig is too low to run all the visual mods you want. uncheck ALL the visual mods that you dont absolutely need and run again. If it work, remove those mods for real. Seriously, with weak rig, you have two choices: run all the gameplay/locations mods OR run the visual mods. NOT BOTH. JimboUK
Are you using this? FNV 4GB Patcher at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)
laclongquan
The patcher is useless if his rig is 2GB Ram or less. Also useless if his GF card is not even 500MB.

AstrayWasp
I am using a GTX 760 2gb, an I7 9700k and 16gb RAM at 3200Mhz so specs shouldn't be an issue, I did what the first post said and the game started to work fine, also edited some sections of the nvse stutter .ini I saw on another post and the game was being stable for hours, but now every now and then it freezes. Also yes I am using the 4gb patch, and is there any changes I could make to the .ini for improvements, not sure if its using the cpus multicore as it is or not for instance. JimboUK
You should really get rid of the stutter remover and use this instead NVTF - New Vegas Tick Fix at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com) This would be a good idea too if you're not already using it NVAC - New Vegas Anti Crash at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)
AstrayWasp
I was using both together with stutter remover, I'll disable stutter remover and see how it goes
