andygee33
I have worked with sim city 4's mods before which are a bit confusing but I've never needed assistance installing anything, having multiple folders for different sets of mods and saves, finding required content.. I am also on xda quite a fair bit and have never required assistance with firmware or instructions.. So why is it I feel like I'm walking on landmines when I'm here? Your site is fast, looks good, downloads are easy, community is awesomeBut I don't trust the mods. Maye about 5% of the mods out there that I've found so far - and I've still found that 5% can still mess up your stuff (even with MO)Is there some forum I don't know about that tells you what and how to install because as far as I can see I'm just putting my haads in the mod-bag and seeing what i pull out.Mods dont seem to mention compatibility issues unless you go through all the 'posts' to dissect info. Aint nobody got time for that. I mean, FCO is proper goosed and yeeears outdated with patches and unofficial hotfixes and just has no decent info. Through MO it seems to have messed with files that remain after uninstall - even though ijust a texture mod. 24 hours wasted and what do i have that actually works? Pretty much just the stuff that a steam guide helped to get me going and I'm not even sure those are all playing nicely. Will need to peek at xedit some point.Used uncle badass' simple guide from fresh steam install, then got jsawyer ult and merged with itself in fnvedit before enabling in mo. I also got knvse but cant get sprint or anim working. gave up on fco. Just going to try the dlc type mods and im done i think. But theres no info on them working together so guess ill just 'wing it' and se what happens which seems to be the mentality here I do appreciate the hard work on this game we all love but without an actual guide to modding fnv which isn't 222 pages long I'm gonna stick with vanilla because this is a headache and waste of time so far for me. laclongquan
A hour or two learning to use Mod Organizer 2 would make your modded FNV run immensely safer. You can set up an MO2 instance to run modded game, and just run fnv exe for a (unmodded) vanilla game.
