duncanlambert
I have already gone through FO3 many times so the only way to boost its replay value is modding the male without a father. Unfortunatly, i seem to have messed up somewhere and now all my female raiders have purple heads. I presume this has something to do with badly installed textures or an out-of-place command line. I have tried almost everything short of reinstalling the game. As fun it is to see Barney the purple dinosaurs little sister head explode as i snipe her from 1200 meters, its getting tiresome. Any ideas?

phoneyLogic
Unfortunetely I have nothing else then a reinstall 1) uninstall game + gfwl -> its possible that there are various gfwl entries in system control (if you want to use live))2) the two folders left. game dir and my games folder -> delete or rename them (to backup your stuff)3) clean registry4) reboot be careful with your backed up data, don`t use old .ini files and so on Purple raider, that`s cool :P , next time we wanne see a screenshot. sounds like a mod is causing this.but there are many many mods at fallout3nexus: "3950 total files" -> who can tell? cheers sory, I have no other clue
PureSnipe
I have the same issue, but I know what mine is:Alpha version of DX10 emulator for XP. I'll allow it to slide, since it makes DX10 capable games look amazing.
phoneyLogic
Thanks Snipe! DX10 emulater? how does it work? and where to get?
PureSnipe
DX10 on XPIt's one of those links on there, too lazy to find which one.Granted, this is an Alpha, so there'll some hiccups. Haven't noticed increased strain on the PC yet, so there's a plus. All it does is emulate the system Vista uses to run DX10, applies it to XP and then renders everything in DX10. DX9 games get some weird graphical errors though.

duncanlambert
okay, i got DX10 and its still *banned*. I think i just need to rip the entire of fallout off my pc and start again. Somewhere something has gotten *banned* and i dunno how to fix it. I'll do it next week sometime, so if anyone has any suggestions before then, feel free to speak up. Cos a reinstall is a last resort. Kinda got alot of mods i dont wanna try and find again on the Nexus.
