naveira Posted August 6, 2013 Share Posted August 6, 2013 All of the NPCs in a town sometimes gather up and just leave, traveling throughout the wasteland. For example a couple of the Boomers walked all the way into the middle of the wasteland, and were still talking about how they never leave the air force base. And once I noticed all the people in the Crimson Caravan gather outside and wander off. This doesn't happen everywhere, and they do return eventually, but I haven't noticed a pattern. Also my companion Boone just wanders off in a random direction and no matter what I do he doesn't stop, but when I go into a house or fast travel, he's there, but then wanders off again when we leave. ED-E doesn't do this however. Just to make sure, this isn't part of the game or plot or anything right? And anyone know how to fix it? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

jefftitan Posted August 6, 2013 Share Posted August 6, 2013 Hmm, I don't know if this is related, but I remember hearing about a Fallout 3 bug where characters either went to or teleported to map position 0,0. naveira Posted August 6, 2013 Author Share Posted August 6, 2013 I decided to follow boone, and he went into the repconn gift shop and just walked around in there. Eventually 2 ncr troopers and 2 shop npcs also walked in. So I'm guessing that's the 0,0 position? Is there a way to fix this? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This bug happens with game on all dlc's and just few mods... None of mods touches npc's behaviour like sandboxes etc (by their descriptions), purely cosmetic... It is NOT bug with 0,0 position, it is bug with behaviour, sandboxes or something. All damn npcs just wander at wide (really wide) radius instead stand still and give quests.
