Solution Pickysaurus Posted November 2, 2021 Solution Share Posted November 2, 2021 Go to Downloads -> Open Download folder Then go up one level to the list of games. Delete the folder called "Site" Restart Vortex
Connectamabob
Having the same issue. Go to Downloads -> Open Download folder Then go up one level to the list of games. Delete the folder called "Site" Restart Vortex EDIT:I think Pickysaurus above was assuming that the Vortex UI was still usable (which was not the case for me), and was giving directions for how to do this from within Vortex. If, like me, you are unable to use the Vortex UI because of it being locked behind an un-dismissable error popup, the folder you want to delete is:C:\Users\(YourName)\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\downloads\site Deleting this folder and re-starting Vortex fixed the problem in my case. Guest deleted34304850
okay if you can't do it via vortex its easy enough.in windows file explorer open the directory where you've told vortex to download mods to - i don't know what you set it to - but lets pretend you did something sensible like D:\games\ in that directory navigate to d:\games\downloads\ there should be a directory called site - delete it. simple. I didn't put it there. The Vortex installer did. That's the default location. If it shouldn't be, that really needs to be taken up with the devs (and/or made a sticky thread) instead of chiding end users for not being clairvoyant enough to have searched for it specifically. Also, i'm aware that it's the default location. Its perfectly fine as a default location - but - if you have a lot of mods, they consume a lot of disk storage and if your disk where appdata is located isn't huge, you can get issues. if you get issues, then its more than likely you'll be back here going full karen because your disk has run out of space, then you'll panic and delete all the mods and wonder why nothing works and blame everyone except yourself because no-one takes responsibility for their actions, no matter how stupid they are. also - it isn't anything the devs would be able to deal with as everyone's system is different - so they use the windows default location - because - well - it's the default location on every system. but hey, you do you. i'm sure you'll be perfectly fine.
