Aegrus
http://l4d3.ru/ It is Left4Dead 3, though. Not Half Life 3. I'm still happy, though. :) Also, notice at the bottom of the page, where is says Source. . .2. :D
Hardwaremaster
That's cold Aegrus, get me excited for a moment, to only have my dreams, dashed against a cliff face, curse you.

Rennn
The fact that it's using the Source Engine 2 means that HL3 shouldn't be far off. They wouldn't let the new engine stagnate without finally releasing some sequels.
OpheliaNeoma
The only thing that I would get this for is because of the 'new' engine, I really didn't like either of the L4D games. I hope this one is better.
Zewp
I'm going to have to call into question the legitimacy of that site. Why would Valve, a US-based company, register a Russian domain for their new game?
OpheliaNeoma
Valve has apparently said that the site isn't theirs, but L4D3 has been confirmed.
Vindekarr
I hope this doesn't have any sort of modern medical equipment or substances of any sort in it. In Australia, State Of Decay was banned outright because it offered Morphine(a topical or general anesthetic agent) as a quest reward. In game, morphine is used much as it is in real life, as a sedative and pain killer. Heavens, if it was a zombie apocalypse I'd carry some with me, but according to the wise and logical OFLC, offering an "illicit substance" as a reward "encouraged illegal drug consumption" and "could not be justified by context" So by that logic, if video game depictions of morphine being used in it's proper medical context as a sedative for injured humans, I hate to think what they'd do to Left 4 Dead 3 if it had Med Packs in it, let alone... http://youtu.be/FlfUUHtAsXs
Zewp
I thought the Australian government got over their nanny-state business a while back? Anyway, I think they're more likely to ban it for violence, like they did with the original games, but back then Valve just made zombie corpses disappear immediately, so if they're bothered by the pills maybe Valve will just patch them out again? Vindekarr
No, it's not so much the government as a whole, it's the people on the OFLC board. It's just like all other minor or marginal review boards; it has little actual power and was created as an afterthought. As such it's filled with bored functionaries rather than people who take their jobs seriously, and who couldn't care less about their jobs-most of them made an attempt at a grander political career, failed, and ended up here. The problem is, they aren't interested in context or environment or message, they have a sheet of laws, and they slavishly categories games based on those laws, often resulting in nonsensical that have nothing to do with either the content or context of the game itself. A perfect example is State Of Decay. As mentioned before, you could use Morphine to do what Morphine is actually used for; pain relief for injured or post-op patients. The OFLC banned it for portraying "abuse of an addictive substance" and "awarding players with narcotics" which was deemed "unacceptable regardless of context" Now, all that the developers did to get the game unbanned was to rename the Morphine and several other medical substances. The game was then unbanned. It's nothing personal, they just don't give a toss about their job. It's purely a matter of meeting a set of rules; if you do you do if you don't you don't, they don't give a toss either way.
