Guest deleted2027229
I made a custom trader, but the trade option only appears when they're stood still or sat down (ie stationary)... is this simply how trading works in Oblivion? What is the exact condition on when the trade menu appears in an NPCs dialoge? Edited November 11, 2021 by WanderRA
Striker879
If the NPC is moving then they're executing another AI package than their one that allows trading. Generally the vanilla game trading packages are at a certain location, usually distance is set to zero so they just stand there.
qwertyasdfgh
Trading (and any other service) is enabled if active AI package has "Offers Services" flag checked.
Pellape
..which means it doesn't matter if they move or not, as long as that flag is set of course. :D My traders at the Hobbit Home have that flag set in all their packages so I even trade with them if they are sleeping, well they do get up from the bed and provide the service gladly. What a service. ;)
