It was here, I went to see if anybody posted in it since I started the thread, but it was gone. Then I went to my search history and it said I didn't have permission to view the thread.

Just a wild guess but it may have been deliberately deleted. Making any sort of thread about MLP tends to end badly on the internet, since MLP attracts trolls like flies to crap.

It wasn't about MLP, Just wondering why PPG didn't have as large of a following.

Mostly since it's from '99, and it was oddly similar in the concept, and the fans it did attract outside of it's directed audience.

Me, when I was 10 I would wake up watching DBZ, PPG was the show directly before it on Ten, I thought it was rubbish at first, in hindsight it was a pretty darn great lineup, and on at 6:30-7:30 which was perfect for kids going to school. Then it became Transformers(the old, good series) and DBZ. That was frickin' perfect. Hell, I still consider myself a Transformers fanboy. That show rocked for the era.

Forget the Micheal Bay rubbish, this had a VW Beetle with a laser cannon. A LASER CANNON. And you know why it was so good? because it never took itself seriously. It was funny, it was violent, and it had a guy who could turn into the most awesome gadget of my childhood; a portable(OMG) casette player!!!

There doesn't seem to be any related report or comment on the thread as to who closed it or why, but this is likely part of the reason. By framing it against MLP, it could easily be interpreted both as a way to get anti-MLP trolls to post as well as to rile up fans of MLP.

As for why it didn't get attention? Probably because it was before the age of youtube and social networks. It also lacked the sorts of gimmicks, themes, ect that MLP has.

Or the infamy. How many "bronies" do you think actually watch the show? most that I've met are just trolls looking to "like" something most people think is stupid.
