Mondain74
I would like hear what people look for in a house mod. I'm sure that every good house has the following: -decent amount of storage including bookshelves-all crafting stations, enchanting, and alchemy-thoughtful, original, attractive layout/architecture-either lore friendly in an impressive way, or impressively unlorefriendly -navmeshed with room for followers-area for adopted children What sort of things make you say "ewww! no way I'm downloading that mod"? How many armor mannequins is enough? What other things are "must have"? I'm working on a new estate mod right now, and I'm trying to make it different in a few ways from what is already out there. Deleted31005User
I don't like repetitive scenes like a big room with 20 beds that just seem to be a copy of the first 2 beds over and over again. Also too much personal storage space is a no go for me.Same with big castles where you never enter all the other 9999 rooms anyway. But that's just me, what you are asking is personal taste and everybody has a different opinion on that.
Maverick827
1. Stability. A house that lags a lot or conflicts with other mods is passed up immediately. 2. Look, style, location. This is pretty subjective. I prefer houses in cities, not alone in the wilderness. I don't have a preferred style, I'll just know I like something when I see it. 3. The right amount of good features. I don't like to be overwhelmed by a house, but I need more than walls and an enchanting altar. For the most part, I need something that sates the collector in me. Armor racks, weapon cases, book shelves, trophy rooms, etc. 4. A secret room. It just has to happen.
Kraeten
It's all a matter of taste. Plenty of people seem to like having giant stuffed dragons dominating a room, or abodes that just happen to have Dwemer plumbing. I on the other hand HATE seeing those features etc.
