Nvidia settings and Skyrim

So... the other day I read a post that suggested a change to the NVidia settings to fix a problem (not terribly important, but fwiw, t was for NPC walking speed).

Anyway, I went to the Nvidia control panel and realized that I've never really paid much attention to it

So...now the meat.

Is there a straightforward listing out there somewhere of recommended settings for NVidia control panel?

As an example, while in the control panel, I turned on image sharpening. It appears to improve my visual clarity in game, but that *could be placebo ...idk...

thanks

It's very much dependent on you. They do have a program called GeForce Experience which will "optimize" your games based on nVidia's recommended settings, but opinions on it are very mixed.

Yes... it is very much dependent on me. I get that. In fact, coincidentally enough, that's exactly why I posted my question.

As far as GeForce autoconfig, I guess I'm in "that" group, although not because I'm opposed to the concept of autoconfig.

The reason I asked is that there are only a dozen or two settings in the associated Program Settings section of NVidia control panel for skyrim, so I figured that since I've already seen a few settings referred to in a correlated, knowledgeable way to Skyrim in various posts along the way (CUDA -GPUs, Vertical sync, Max framerate, and at least one of the Texture filtering settings, etc), so I figured many of the more seasoned gamers might have already compiled such a list already.

I'm aware of NVidia GeForce but don't use it. The card has worked quite well so far on its own, I'd just like to tweak a little here and there when it suits my fancy, but do so at least somewhat knowledgably, with respect to the card settings and skyrim specifically... do-es and don'ts. I'm sure you can understand that much.

Anyway, getting back to it, if anyone happens to know of either a list OR a link it'd be nice.

thanks for the reply.
