ModdersResources
I get instant crash to desktop whenever I try to load my SSE save game after installing the new version of SKSE64 preliminary AE I do not have the anniversary edition, but the regular SKSE64 wouldn't work, so I had to install the SKSE64 AE version, which enabled me to boot up through the SKSE64 launcher, but whenever I try to load my last save game, it instantly crashes me back to desktop. Here is a list of all of the skyrim special edition mods that I have installed. Some of them are installed through the old nexus mod manager, and the others through vortex. Which mods do I need to update? What might be conflicting? The following link contains my modlist. https://imgur.com/a/Hvj5xgA Edited December 12, 2021 by BBTBBN

wfandrews
If you are going to use SSE/AE my advice would be to uninstall all your mods and rebuild your mod order using mods which have been updated for SSE/AE or can run in SSE/AE with no updates. There are many mods that can run as is but as showler said any that create dll files must be updated.

showler
SSE or AE is meaningless. Do you have game version 1.5.97 or game version 1.6.323? If you have 1.5.97 then you should not have updated anything. If you have 1.6.323 then you need to update EVERYTHING that uses a DLL file. I listed the ones I recognized. If you don't want to do that, look up the Unofficial Downgrade Patcher. Either way, you have some reading to do.

showler
You need to update EVERY SINGLE MOD THAT USES A DLL WITH SKSE. All the ones I listed and any other mod you use that has such a file. Every mod that uses a DLL file with SKSE needs to have a new version that works with Skyrim 1.6.323 and SKSE 2.1.3. A lot of them will say they work with the Address Library mod for those file versions, but they all need to be compatible with those versions. And you'll find that not every mod has been updated yet, so some of the mods you are currently using WILL NOT WORK until the mod author updates them. Honestly, you're probably going to end up having to wait until January at the soonest, or start a new game with a different mod list. Or use the Unofficial Downgrade Patcher and then block Skyrim from updating again. Don't ask me to explain that to you, just Google it.
