Jezzroth Posted December 12, 2021 Share Posted December 12, 2021 So, after thinking I had finally made my game work after AE, using the downgrade patcher and so on, yet another update landed, and now I cant make it work. Basically, when I first load, my character is missing. If I move around a bit, go into a building etc, it will appear, but look weird. The face is some odd generic face by the looks of it. HDT doesnt work as armor hdt and hair hdt is all over the place. Body bounce is no longer there. Female NPCs appear to function normally, which surprised me - not sure about body bounce.Ive tried everything I can think of, reinstalled and updated mods, using the downgrade patcher etc.I dont know what to try next. Seriously considering forgetting about skyrim or going back to LE. Help? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
showler Posted December 12, 2021 Share Posted December 12, 2021 So, you ran the downgrade patcher and then allowed it to update the game again? Have you run the downgrade patcher again to go back again? Edit: since I missed some of your comment earlier let me be more clear. Did you download and use the updated downgrade patcher that was released for the updated game version? If that didn't work, did you try validating your game install to get all the files up to date and then run the patcher? wfandrews Posted December 13, 2021 Share Posted December 13, 2021 After you run the downgrade patcher you must not log on to Steam again, if you do it will automatically upgrade SSE and you will be right back where you started. If you cleaned your master files you must revert them to vanilla by verifying the integrity of those files in Steam before using the downgrade patcher. I found that after using the downgrade patcher LOOT could not find SSE, I solved that by launching SSE with SkyrimSE.exe in the main SSE folder.. Funnily enough I( had no problem with SSEEdit, Wrye Bash, or NMM. My advice would be to either stick with the 1.5.97 version or upgrade and play with a mod load that you are sure is compatible with that version. Alternatively you could wait for a while until those mods which need to be converted are by the mod author. In my opinion if they are not converted in the next two or three weeks they are not going to be and you can just forget about them. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It either just crashes upon startup, does the same as before, or gives me a whole range of .dll errors. I cant even seem to run the game with the downgrade patcher. So, after using the downgrade patcher, I would have assumed I would have to run with SKSE for SE, 1.5x. That refuses to work, giving me an error message upon startup, I run it then with the SKSE for AE, and the problem persists like above, no matter what the hell mods I upgrade, or use the 1.5x version or whatever. Jezzroth Posted December 17, 2021 Author Share Posted December 17, 2021 Going into menu, my presets are missing, most menu options for both building faces and bodies are missing, theres only few for the face, none for the body.No human female can load, only elven females, and they look weird and as described above, hair going all over, hdt or whatever (physics) not working. Now Im back to - having gotten my mods to 1.5x, skyrim is updated to 1.6x, used the downgrade patcher, with steam in offline mode, started skyrim se with SKSE 1.6x (using 1.5x just gives me an error of wrong version) Issues:Any human female PC will crash the game instantly. If I load an older save, the model is invisible until i move. When I move, the model show up, but has following issues: faces look weird, at least for elves. I wondered if its without high poly heads? Im not sure.No jiggle physics.The HDT hairs are all over the place, not working at all.HDT armors not working either, the physics are all over, like the hair.Entering racemenu, I have a reduced amount of sliders. The CBBE 3ba body sliders are missing entirely, although the tab is there.My presets are missing, and it says it in game it couldnt load them.
