This kind of people should be eaten by dinosaurs :)

With negating responsibility from the children one is just negating the own responsibility in the last instance.

This kind of people is totally blind to their own blindness, hopeless thing trying to bring light to them.

PS: We shall not try to shield anyone from reality. We need to teach how to deal with the reality.

(sadly this implies we must know how to do it).

Stopped reading when the gross misrepresentation of facts just became too much. I get the point, I get why it might be funny, but really feel interested in reading a long, poorly construed rant. Even if it is entirely for the purpose of humor. There are just simply far more meaningful rants to read online.

my fave part lol

"As a loving parent, I believe that the only way to prepare children for the adulthood is to completely shield them from reality. The best way for a young person to survive in a world rife with violence, crime and tragedy is to be thrown out of the house at age eighteen, completely naive and possessing the emotional development of a five-year-old. This is why my kids will always be raised in a societal bubble, oblivious of the fact that violence exists until they've actually got a knife pressed against their throats. "

The article goes so 'caricature' that loses importance it is for real or sarcasm. Must not judge the person behind the article on that level, I thought to myself... fake or not it represent very well the way so many people are and behaves. So it's not the person there, it's not the article veracity what i took into account. If 'for real' it says for itself; if sarcasm it hits the point very well too.

PS: Took the time to read the whole article and it's satirical/sarcastic character is plain clear. Well, so be it.

This is just pitiful

And then

"I had no choice but to kick the everloving fun out of that boy in front of his brothers and sisters to set an example. We'll not have violence in my house, and if anybody disagrees, they get kicked in the spine, tailbone and pelvic region until both of us are in tears. "

Him beating his freakin' children is violence

It's not a joke, it is sarcasm/satire, meant to get the attention to certain issue(s), commonly using the caricature to such. Jonathan Swift was a grand master of the genre and did portrait the English-Irish question in such a way only later the formers did perceive where the 'real' problem was. Interested may search for the Swift's pamphlets.
