Cookie problem?

Sometimes it's a switch they throw and you reboot your modem, sometimes they have to deploy a service man to change it. Usually the ISP can just change a setting on their database and you're good to go. I know what it's like to sit on hold for the ISP to talk. I usually just start a stopwatch and when they get on ask them how many other people were on hold waiting for a line, then depending on their answer tell them how long I waited. Usually they flag you to be a priority when you call :P

Couple of stupid/obvious answers and questions:

A) Are you using FireFox? If yes, then:

B) Do you have it set to clear private data on close?

C) Do you have it set to clear cookies on close?

a) Yes

b) Yes

c) No

But now it's explained it's no problem. It'll be the dynamic IP -- I don't leave the puter on all the time.

Also I don't even need to type the login details in, as the form is already filled. Just a click. ;)

There's your main problem. When private data is cleared, so are cookies. Soo, if it keeps happening, look at that.

No, the cookies stay, and mount up over long web-surfing sessions. I have to go through them from time to time and houseclean.

EDIT: I got back into the forum without needing to re-log in for this session, and I'd closed the browser but hadn't switched off the system, so it has to be the IP thing.
