Quanza
Just doing a fresh install, and I was wondering if there was a way to use 2 armor sets at the same time. Example, there are some pieces of skimpy armor sets I like, and some I really don't (bikini tops, nipple clamps aren't armor lol). would it be possible to have both sets usable, not just replace them? Like being able to craft 'chest piece x' and 'chest piece x bikini' at the same time? New to modding, and figured it could be a chance to get my beak wet into the hobby. Also any tips or guides would be greatly appreciated
IsharaMeradin
Only way to have multiple pieces of armor is if each pieces uses a different body slot. If the same body slot is used, one will replace the other. If different body slots are used, they can be worn together but clipping might occur depending upon how the pieces are made. Quanza
Not trying to equip multiple items, but trying to have both (or more) available to be used, for example, to be able to make both the armors from Immersive armors (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3479) and the immersive armor replacer (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/54211) at the same time. Like the boots from one, and the chest from another (edited) I like to mix and match pieces quite a bit lol Edited December 16, 2021 by Quanza
creekdipper
The answer is yes it can work out if all different sets of mod armor and default armor are all using the same body shape. An example where you will get less than satisfactory results is, say you build a certain body type for CBBE or BHUNP for your game's default body, then you build TAWOBA bikini armor using the same body slide, and now you want to wear boots from a different mod or the default game but those are made for the vanilla body shape, this is going to increase inconsistencies. You will have to go into the second mod and convert it from replacing the original records to being their own new records. Then to craft you'd need to create new constructible object records (recipes) for each armor piece. You will also need to ensure that the files (meshes / textures) from the second mod do not replace files from the first mod as is most likely the case (typical with replacers). In a nutshell, it might be easier to create a new plugin from scratch that uses the assets (meshes / textures) of the replacer mod. Trying to edit a replacer mod to no longer be a replacer mod leaves the possibility of missing something and causing undesired effects in the game.
