lordderryth Posted December 21, 2021 Author Posted December 21, 2021 Thank you, Admin, for clarifying that Vortex is more complex. R2modman worked perfect in the way I wanted. Unfortunately, it doesn't support some of the mods that are on nexus. It told me that there was an update. With one click, my mods were updated. I'm not knocking on Vortex. I just don't understand the UI and how complex it is. I've been frustrated with mostly Valheim as many authors create the same mods and there are so many. 7d2d is easy. Not many mods required for use. BTW, I don't understand the concept on how mod managers work. However, I've used managers in the past to keep my mods in order. It's 2021 and many things are becoming complex. I'm just a user. I would hope people would just relax on slitting my throat. If anyone can direct me to the appropriate video or link, I would like to learn and educate myself. It seems Nexusmods is quite the library for mods.
Community Manager Pickysaurus Posted December 21, 2021 Community Manager Posted December 21, 2021 R2modman is, again, a manager with a very narrow scope of features. Valhiem may be a bit of an exception but automatic updates are often detrimental to your modding experience. Particularly in single player games.
rmm200 Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 It is a little dated at this point, but Gopher has a series of videos for Vortex beginners. Highly recommended. Start here: https://www.gophersvids.com/?gopher_storyboard=vortex-beginners-guide
