Jenlyn Fayre
How do you tell the difference between an Imperial, a Breton and a Nord? To me they all look the same.

NCBeachBum
The best way in my mind is by their style of dress. The Imperials seem to be based upon the Roman Empire, and dress accordingly for the most part, while the Bretons seem to be medieval Britons, and the Nords on the ancient Nordic peoples (how's that for a statement of the obvious?). The Bretons also have thoe distinctive uglyass bowl haircuts.
Switch
Bretons = weedy monk lookImperials = average human lookNords = brainless thug look That's how I tell them apart, but I daresay there are better ways. ;)
Untouchable1
you can tell them apart easily, even from 50 ft away (given the draw distance is even that good in MW i forgot) is teh character's height > yours? = Nord is teh character seem dwarfed even by the dark elf standing beside him? = imperial ist teh char got a nasty-ass uber bowl cut, or a poofy ponytail u can see from maximum draw distance? = breton. Adras
The Nords are stocky looking, and sometimes have tattoes on their faces. They are muscular and usually have blonde hair if I'm remembering correctly. Imperials usually have some sort of metal armour on and look more or less like a normal human being. They have a deep voice and usually have a brownish color of hair. Brentons are, as Switch said, usually the guys who look like a monk. Some have the Friar Tuck hair cut and a robe of some sort. They use magic while Nords and Imperials use weapons. Imperials are a bit shorter then Nords, actually most people in Morrowind are. They are based around Personality, Strength, and Speed. So they are strong and fast and are likeable. Nords are based around Strength and Endurance. They are (as mentioned earlier) tall and use usally long swords I think. Their Intelligence is only at 30, so its kinda low. And their personality is a little on the low end also. Bretons are based around Intelligence, Personality, and Willpower. They arent as likeable as the Imperials, but better than the Nords. They also usually have on some sort of netch leather armour or something like that. Nords... Well, just check the height. And the Imperials, they usually have like steel armour or something like that on. Examples of each? Caius Cosades is I believe a Breton. Could be Imperial. ok, that was a bad example... Hmm... Well Sjoring Hard-Heart (leader of the Fighters Guild) is a Nord. Mr. Whats-his-name over at Fort Moonmoth who is looking for you, hes an Imperial. Bretons, you'll usually find in Imperial Temples. So if you cast Alsivi Intervention, and it takes you to an Imperial place, go inside and you should find a Breton in a robe. I hope this post, along with the others, helps you. Malchik
Well, of course, you may be using mods that do make them all look the same! I play one where the Bosmer are the same height as the imperials so you can only yell them apart (to look at) by their ears! They still have the same irritating voices. But that apart, the other posters are right - their size alone is a giveaway. The Bretons are clearly meant to be French. The names are French and Breton means 'from Brittany' and that is part of France unless it declared UDI last night and I missed it. The Nords are based (loosely) on Scandinavians, though the Scandinavians I have met are generally a lot more intelligent. The Imperials are based on the ancient Romans - I wonder which developer was around in those days  ! So - size, hair, costume, voice, names - how can you confuse them?
