FlightlessBird
Ok where do I begin. First off I'm not sure if this should be in spoilers but I don't think what I"m about to say has any importance for the main quest. NOt my decision.. Alright, there are Basically 10 grottos in Vvardenfell. I do not feel like saying their names but trust me there are. They are all basically a waste of time unless you want pearls or some low class loot. However, There is one grotto that puts all of the others to shame. This, would be the "Mundan" grotto. the peninsuala west of Vivic is typical of the farmland around the city, with its only distinguisable feature is a small island that lies off its southwest coast, almost withing the sight of the towers of Ebonhear. If you swim over, youl see a second Island to the south. And to the far west, two more islands. Swim to the northenmost island. Well there is a little door on the southside of the island. Welcome to the Mundan grotto. Inside this grotto, swim between the two rocks to your left and through an archway left of that. Another archway to the right, and then descend deeply to a thrid portal and up ahead, A familar, dwemer door. This is the lost dwemer checkpoint you are looking for, and inside, lies the Dragonbone Curiass (WELL worth the trip) and a lost adventurer named, "Peke Utchoo." :D Have fun with the rest. Malchik
We have info on the contents of all caves and grottoes in cmac's pinned thread in spoilers. It also lists every other site you might come across from ruins to tombs to shipwrecks. If you are worried about possibly spoiling a future quest it is worth checking out this thread before going in. But the grottoes are all okay to enter. Only mods use them for quests.
nickleback04
when i found it i went in and nearly died from the loooooooooong journey to get to the main vault. Malchik
Might one suggest Water Breathing? I recommend you constant enchant on exquisite clothes of some kind. Saves a lot of hassle. You can do the same with water walking, levitate, night eye etc. Now if you hadn't disposed of Azura's Star .....
