What do you think is unrealistic

Ummm, we are playing a game that has knights in armor running around fighting creatures who come out of a magic gate made of fire. There are non human races throughout the world and there are vampires who never leave the cave they are in. The only way to stop the invading army of monsters is if a certain person changes into a dragon and fights the forty story tall, four armed giant demon, and you want to debate what is unrealistic? :blink:

I ROFL'd at this. ^

Regarding the comment about children, the way it was described by reaper was done in Fable (1 - waiting for 2 on PC myself). You can hit children but it immediately goes to a cut scene and you're in trouble with the guards. Also they are not injurable, they just cry.

That's something like what I've been working on but my plan was to have anyone who attacked or killed a child, hated by all other NPC's. I was thinking that anyone who killed a kid should have a permanent bounty on them. That would make it almost impossible to play the game if you are a child killer and therefore make it an undesirable option. Anyone who killed a child would regret it for the rest of the game.

Where are the God Damm children ???
Would children really add much to the game? They'd be a colossal amount of work.

i think it would be nice to see a few children runnuing around playing, or delevrying message for quest, chase some special plants ingredient for the player...(there is a few thing that children could have been use for, if they where implented to the game ! and it would look kool ! (my opinion !)

the thing about making the children beater a permanent bounty would definitly kill any stealth caracter...as the player woulnt be able to enter anywhere without getting all the attention of the guard (base on the ob vanilla system)...a way around that would be to give the player a permanent (morality, and disposion damage)...lets say player hit a child then for the rest of the game any disposition of other NPC would be affected... (player would be able to do the main quest) but if the disposion get to low for non-main quest then the player would lost the ability to get the npc to like him enought to tel him about the said quest)...eniways you get the pint...child could and SHOULD be included in the next game using a non killable system for them !... WOOAH enought on that OFF TOPIC subject !...lol

Well they did implement kids in Fallout 3, but you couldn't kill them. I don't get into killing children but kinda takes away from the atmosphere wen you beat on them recklessly and they wont die, lol. At least it's a step forward and I think the next Elder Scrolls will have younger NPCs in the game 'ala Fallout 3 style.

Of course you should be able to kill kids!! Muahahahaha!

But seriously, 'creatures' like kids that are impossible to kill for a character that just killed lich kings, the arch mage and the entire imperial guard squad, that's just lame. Also, then orpanages will boom too quickly on my game.. :verymad:

I'd love to see a mod with kids tho, although my computer has two frames per minute when there are more than four and a half persons within my (very small) range.

Other unrealistic things:

-The shopkeeper detecting my stolen stuff still amazes me, very good one;

-People say they earn 15 gold coins a year <-> a shack costs 4 to 10 thousand gold;

-Shopkeepers have QUITE some money. You can keep selling stuff to them (fixed this with the OOO mod);

-No cars. I mean, come on!

but the big point of installing "unkillable"children was for tthe game to not get any complain of the really picky ppl that think its "bad" to show killing of children in video games !... you those that always complaining that video games are getting too violent for theyr kids....! well with the system explain above, this would solve that !

edit: an other thing that i think is not realistic, ...they should have created a pause button that actualy stop the game and Not being able to get in the inventory, and then a inventory button that show the inventory will actions are not stop... a lil too much perhaps ???

Oh yea, I keep forget about people who complain about stuff.. Well, since the main game won't change anymore, it doesn't matter really, maybe we can get a modder and some child voice actors...? Ha!

And what is unrealistic in every RPG I know: where are the bags?! I'm carrying two double handed axes, three hundred arrows and five shields, yet I run without any luggage!

I realy don't understand this. It's a video game! WTF?? You don't get to kill children..you kill pixels and textures and meshes. What's wrong with that? Make them small, give them a new name and happy hunting. We hace races in OB. Why do you have to rate the game "M" or what ever if I kill a dark elf kid or argonian...they don't even look human.

Society is so.... these days.
