baisdensean
Whether your in the Arena or in the Wasteland, will you survive? (excludes cheats) Perks and putting your skills higher by leveling up or having to work to put your levels up? S.P.E.C.I.A.L. or S.I.W.A.S.E.P.L? Future or past? Nuclear War or a Mythical War? Rad Creatures or Mythical Creatures? Not a lot of quest or a lot? Great gameplay or great gameplay? (didn't make a mistake) Who will win? Fallout 3 or Oblivion? Who knows? Because War. War Never Changes.

nosisab
Vive la Différence. They are so conceptually different so the concept of "better" will fall back to "personal tastes" meanings and only if means something comparing them. And I'm talking only about the RPG genre where I have a love for "party" games too. At this point I deleted an enormous reply... suddenly it seemed strange to the thread purpose. Lets just hope the games will come in the various forms and getting better over time. And I'm not talking about better visuals and/or mechanics only. The better game is not the one that have S.P.E.C.I.A.L. against L.A.I.C.E.P.S ... to me is the one that uses it better. PS: Sadly what I think is the better game is not the better game to everyone. If it were, Planescape Torment would have several sequels or copies nowadays.
floggingmolly22
Oblivion is better in my opinion. There are more quest options, and thus, more replay value.
GETbacon
I'd say it's like martial arts Vs. modern arts. In other words modern arts wins (fallout 3)

Michlo
Hmm, good question. I do love Oblivion and even without mods it seems to have more re-play to it. However, I've not gone back to Oblivion since I got Fallout 3 and I still love it in there. And this coming from someone who wasn't even going to get Fallout 3 back when he still thought it was going to be cartoony and humerous! hehe Cheers. dezdimona
while I did like FO3,somehow it failed to hold my interest after a while. Adding mods helped but it still lacks something for meOblivion on the other hand never fails to keep my interest up.
