Bladeandforcery
Hello, I'm having trouble downloading/running skyrim vr mods. I can download the files and everything, but when I try and run the game from the sksevr_loader.exe file it brings up an error message in command prompt that says "Couldn't find Skyrim VR.exe". I looked into it and people have said that I need to put the mod staging folder in the actual game program file. So I looked through my files and theres a couple different flies I tried putting it in, those were: (This PC\New Volume (D:)\Program Files\steamapps\common\SkyrimVR) and (This PC\Local Disk (C:)\Users\(my user name)\Documents\My Games\Skyrim VR). Now, when I try putting the mod staging folder in any of these folders and hit apply in vortex it brings up the error msg "invalid destination: the destination folder has to be empty" I have also tried making a new folder specifically for vortex mod/download files, which it lets me do then, but it still says it can't find the skyrimvr.exe file. If anyone knows how i can fix this it would be very much appreciated. I attatched to image files that show the error message im getting if that helps, but I did cross out my user name just for privacy reasons. Thank you. Community Manager Pickysaurus Posted January 10, 2022 Community Manager Share Posted January 10, 2022 Quote I looked into it and people have said that I need to put the mod staging folder in the actual game program file. This is the complete opposite of what you need to do. The staging folder must be on the same hard drive but not inside the game installation folder. The issue here seems to be a problem with your install/config rather than an issue with Vortex. Make sure SKSEVR is properly installed. Edit: I just noticed you're trying to run SKSEVR from your desktop, that will be the problem. Either install it with Vortex or follow the advice in the readme that downloads with it.
