alpharomeo66 Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Every time I start up Vortex, it gives me this error box:"connect ETIMEDOUT 185.199.108.133:443Error at Object.withTmpDir (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\renderer.js:168:210) at C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\renderer.js:989:46 at tryCatcher (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\util.js:16:23) at Promise._settlePromiseFromHandler (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:547:31) at Promise._settlePromise (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:604:18) at Promise._settlePromiseCtx (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:641:10) at _drainQueueStep (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:97:12) at _drainQueue (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:86:9) at Async._drainQueues (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:102:5) at Async.drainQueues (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:15:14)" It also notifies me that an extension will be updated every time as well, and when I check the extensions, it prompts me to restart to save changes that I have not made. Don't know what it means, and it's annoying having to deal with it every time.
Community Manager Pickysaurus Posted January 21, 2022 Community Manager Posted January 21, 2022 This is just a network timeout, not anything to worry about. I suspect you're not able to connect to GitHub for some reason.
