amokrun1 Posted January 29, 2022 Share Posted January 29, 2022 I love A World Of Pain but the voicelessness of it is really off-putting. I was just wondering if any attempt has been made in way of a collective effort to voice it. I have found two mods that address it but they are both incomplete and not ideal anyway(one apparently has a lot of errors and the other is voice-synthed, which is admittedly well-done but still sounds, well, synthetic). And the lore-friendly version by Qolore7 is great but not personally what I am after. Something in the same way that Brave New World changes some vanilla voices. Acting quality doesn't have to be AAA but something adequate to fill in the silence. I have done quite a bit of modding mainly for myself and 90% with xedit so I am by no means an expert modder, but I am willing to involve myself in whatever capacity needed. I am starting to educate myself on recording and implementing voices now. Is this kind of thing in anyone else's interest? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Radioactivelad Posted January 29, 2022 Share Posted January 29, 2022 AWOP has open modification permissions. All anyone needs to do is put together some line packets and send them to voice actors. You wouldn't even need to really do anything in the geck itself besides checking what the required file name for each line is and generating LIP files. (Literally a single click process.) The title is self explanatory: "Post here if you need voice actors for mods, or if you'd offer you". It has been running for almost twelve years. As of today, there are sixty-seven pages.
