jarjayes
^ This is the message that shows up when I launch the skse64_loader Hello, I've recently downloaded the Latest AE build 2.1.5 (1.6.353) of the Skyrim Script Extender, but it's not working properly. I downloaded this version because, on Steam, it says the Skyrim version is 1.6.353. I do not own the anniversary edition, only the Special Edition. Every time the game is launched, it gives this message: SKSE(64) is not running. RaceMenu Error - You are running SKSE Version 0.0.0.0. expected 2.0.7 .56 or greater. NiOverride plugin not detected, various features may be unavailable. CharGen script not detectedError Codes: (0)(3)(6) I'm new to modding, unfortunately. I archived the Data folder in SKSE and put it into Vortex, and added all .exe and .dll files into the same directory as the native Skyrim launcher. Is this occuring because SKSE isn't updated, yet? I have tried to find out. I would appreciate any help/input. Edited January 31, 2022 by jarjayes
SirTwist
You need to do two things, either update, through Steam, Skyrim, or find, and download, the version of Papyrus before AE came out. Vortex will attempt to update Papyrus for you, but don't allow it to do so.
showler
You don't seem to have installed the new SKSE. It says you are on 2.0.2 rather than 2.1.5 You don't need to do anything with the SKSE file you download except drag and drop it into Vortex. If you modify it, it will probably try to install as a regular mod and won't actually function. Let Vortex handle the installation the way it wants to do it.
