nosisab Posted April 1, 2009 Share Posted April 1, 2009 This low FPS may be related with sound issues. Try disabling sound and music in the oblivion.ini, just for the test sake. By your specs you should not have graphical problems. Verify in the nvidia control panel if you don't have "forced" antialiasing and anisotropic too high. BossDweebe Posted April 2, 2009 Share Posted April 2, 2009 I don't know what kind of graphics card you are running, butthe "latest" drivers are not always the best. I had the "latest" nVidia drivers a few months back - 180.--Big problems. Prior to that I had the 179.-- not to bad at all.I currently have the 181.-- They work well.I also had the moving legs syndrome with the 180 drivers,and nvidia black screen bugs even with the black screen patches installed.Add to that crashes of every description. BSOD, Desk Top, Lock up, Black Screen. Lesson: The latest ain't necessarily the greatest. EDIT: Maigrets had problems with the 181.--. So again different machines and cards,even from the same mfg. = different results. I am using a 8800GT, I believe the 96/9800 series have different requirements.
