Dispel and Restore [attribute] spells work on everything else (if you at least have an Intervention spell, you can get them fixed at a temple/shrine), but with paralyze you can't cast. Oh boy, is it ever fun to paralyze those sewer monekys and then hit them with the heavy stuff before they thaw. I made an area effect paralyze spell just because of them little turd burglars. I really hate Drain Strength permanetly spell like Bonewalkers have. With how much stat buffing crap I usually wear (which is set up to be 1-max rather than a middle number.), I have to take it all off, then heal, then spend 5 minutes or whatever getting it all back to a good high number again. Same thing happens to me. I can deal with paralysis, but attribute drain really sux when you have to remove everything, restore the attribute, then put everything back on again.
