HurrlingMercator
I'm curious, is it even possible to implement water reflections for Lake Mead? They seem to work for the Colorado River, up until Hoover Dam and any reflections seem to cease to exist afterwards, for that stretch of water. So, is there anyway to rectify this in the GECK, or not? I noticed that both the water near Cottonwood Cove and around Lake Mead seem to use the same water type, so I'm not entirely sure how to go about changing this, if it's even possible. Edit: Oh, and by reflections, I don't just mean the sky (which seems to work just fine), I'm talking about statics, actors, etc Edited September 7, 2013 by Dain145
Byeloruskij
Huge bump, I know. This has been bothering me for some time, so I've edited the Placeable Water types in GECK to reflect and refract everything selectable, but it doesn't have an impact in-game. Am I missing something or is it a hardcoded thing (bug) maybe?
Radioactivelad
Placeable water isn't whats in Lake Mead but it's also not a problem with Water settings regardless. It is in fact a bug in the New Vegas engine; It's something to do with the height of the water in the worldspace; which is why the only place with functioning Worldspace Water reflections is the Colorado River. (It may also be a bug in FO3 for all I know, but it's moot because FO3's worldspaces use heights that don't trigger the bug, which is why the reflections work in TTW.) Unfortunately the only existing fix is to use New Vegas Reloaded. NVR is great actually, I just say unfortunate because you're basically required to use its shadow system because it disables the game's normal npc shadows. (Pet Peeve to have to use a whole package just for one feature.)
