SaintDiablo
May sound stupid to most people but im a noob or rather inexperienced in regards to creation kit & skyrim interactions. my knowledge only goes to adding mods since morrowind was new and using loot. I know its stupid I haven't learned to use the kit properly in all that time. It is what it is. Anyway, Im still using pre-ae sse. I just reinstalled the creation kit and upon loading it says theres a new script source to unpack. Will this affect my pre-sse files in a way that will make anything i do like convert form 43 to 44 to not work or unplayable after launching game? I haven't used creation in a long time and even then barely messed with it and dont remember the unpacking part the last time i installed or used it. I know nothing when it comes to this stuff. Just want to make sure its safe to click yes & unpack before I try converting a mod to form 44. Don't want to mess up my current pre-ae set up. Any help or answer to this would be great. Thanks. InsaneGizzardSauce
Good question. Only way to find out is by trying it. I'm trying it out right now for myself.
IsharaMeradin
There hasn't been an update to the SSE CK in some time. The version installed post-SAE is the same version as what was available pre-SAE. It will not affect your game other than perhaps replacing loose file variants of the PSC script files provided by mods. The game itself uses the compiled PEX files which are not included with the CK. In a nutshell, make sure you backup any mod provided PSC files as a precaution prior to allowing the SSE CK to extract its provided PSC files. Otherwise you will be fine.
